Pastor Jimmy and wife Sherrie have been at Covenant Church since April 2000 as an interim Pastor and in October 2000 was called to pastor full time. Prior to Covenant Church, Jimmy functioned as an evangelist for about 3 years, ministering in the streets, jails, and all types of Churches. Pastor Jimmy is ordained through the Church Foundational Network, (C.F.N.), and is submitted to the apostolic oversight of Dell Young, Senior Pastor of Cornerstone Church, Sparks, Georgia. C.F.N. is a relationship based fellowship and ministries that have common destiny in preparing the Church for the days to come. Covenant Church is an Interdenominational Church depending on God.
Our heart here at Covenant Church is to equip the saints and lift up the name of Jesus. To reach outside the four walls of the Church and love all people regardless of color, creed, or status. We accept whosoever that hath an ear to hear, and a heart to receive. We are not bound by religion but bound by God. It is our desire to please God with all our heart, soul, and mind. There is a hunger in us that only God can fill. We are striving to make this house of Covenant Church, a house of prayer. A place where God can be God. A place where you can have liberty to worship our Lord for who he is, not for what he can provide for you..
The Boatright's have been married for 20 years and in the ministry for 9 years. Pastor Jimmy and his wife Sherrie reside in Alma, Georgia. They have two sons, Brian 27 and Stephen 25, and one granddaughter, Trinity 2. Brian, his wife Amy, and their daughter Trinity live in Nacogdoches, Texas where they are Pastors over a Congregational Methodist Church.
